Why is Jane Fonda an Infamous Hottie?
Jane Fonda is best known as an actress, star of exercise videos, and ex-wife of Ted Turner. SO, why is she on this page? In the 1970's, Jane was a prominent anti-war protester, but to many, her words and actions were over the top. For example, she criticized the United States for supposedly attempting to destroy a dike system, took a picture with a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun, and called returning POW's "hypocrites and liars" for claiming they were tortured and starved by the North Vietnamese. She also had this quote about communism: "I would think that if you understood what Communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees, that we would someday become communists." Basically, she has major problems with the United States, our economic system, and our soldiers. That's more than infamous in my book. |
